The Weave began with a simple thought — how can we make a difference in the lives of the weavers of Anekal?
We are a group of MBA students from Alliance University, Bengaluru — Amrutha Patil Athnoor, Shambhavi Tiwari, Aditya Baruah, Md Saif Ali, and Rishabh Kumar. Through this initiative, we hope to understand the challenges faced by local weavers and do our small part to support their hard work, skills, and livelihoods.
Weaving is more than just creating fabric. It carries years of tradition, patience, and craftsmanship, passed down through generations. Yet, the people behind these beautiful creations do not always receive the recognition and opportunities they deserve.
With The Weave, we want to help connect these talented artisans with more people, bring their work into the spotlight, and explore ways to create better opportunities for them.
We know that meaningful change takes time, and we don't claim to have all the answers. We are here to listen, learn from the weavers, and work alongside them to find practical ways to make a difference.
For us, this is not just a project or a business idea. It is an opportunity to learn from a community, appreciate its heritage, and contribute in whatever way we can.
"We may be starting small, but we hope to be part of something meaningful — a future where every weaver's work is valued, every tradition is respected, and every effort gets the recognition it deserves."
The Weave — Woven with purpose, built on people.
